How Meta’s Threads is different from Twitter?

Here are some differences between threads and twitter:

1 – Accessibility

Twitter began their journey as a website  over a 16 years ago and become popular at the same time. Due to the fast adoption  of smartphones  this was launched for android and ios platforms . On the other hands, Threads is now accessible as an app only which can be downloaded from playstore and ios app store only and it is simply a smartphone experience.

2- Account synchronisation

Twitter is syncing their account with email, phone number and username  , it is not tied with any app while Threads is syncing with the Instagram and there is no other way is to login on threads it is just conenected with instagram account.

3- Pricing and confirmation

Under Musk’s leadership, Twitter introduced a verified membership program that included extra benefits such as increased word count, no adverts, and the coveted blue tick. Threads verification is moved from Instagram and is merely a blue tick, whereas Twitter Blue is only a blue tick with additional features. Both systems charge about the same amount, approximately 799 each month.

4- Posts

Both apps let users allow to share internet URLs,  videos , and photos. Gif’s are able to post in both platforms but you have to save the gif first in your camera roll before you are upload it on threads. Furthermore, one may submit additional images and videos at once on Threads, whereas Twitter has a four-item restriction per tweet. Threads allows you to share up to ten things in a single post, similar to Instagram’s carousel posts.

5- Text Limit

In twitter firstly there is a limit of 140 words but after revised it 280 words and while threads have a limit of 500 words. Threads feeds is available to everyone while in twitter they have two feed options, one is for user choice and other is for everyone.
